Match Review:

The twelfth day of G1 Climax 35 delivered another thrilling night of top-tier wrestling action from New Japan Pro Wrestling. The card featured a strong blend of technical prowess, storytelling, and big-match drama from both A and B Blocks.

  • Shota Umino vs Yota Tsuji opened the A Block with high energy. The former LA Dojo mates showed their growth, and Umino narrowly picked up the win after a dramatic back-and-forth exchange.
  • Ren Narita vs Gabe Kidd was a hard-hitting bout filled with aggressive grappling and strikes. Kidd’s relentless intensity gave him the edge as he scored a major win.
  • Kaito Kiyomiya vs Chase Owens saw Kiyomiya bounce back with a much-needed win, showcasing his smooth in-ring style against the cunning tactics of Owens.
  • SANADA vs Taichi was a standout match in the A Block. Both men displayed excellent chemistry, but SANADA’s experience allowed him to edge out the victory in a tightly contested battle.

In B Block action:

  • Kazuchika Okada vs Great-O-Khan featured methodical pacing with bursts of explosive offense. Okada ultimately secured the win, continuing his dominant G1 run.
  • Tetsuya Naito vs El Phantasmo was a crowd-pleasing spectacle. Naito’s charisma clashed with ELP’s wild style, but the veteran came out on top with Destino.
  • Hirooki Goto vs Shane Haste offered a solid mid-card battle, with Haste surprising many by picking up a big win over the veteran Goto.
  • Tama Tonga vs Will Ospreay closed the night in a breathtaking main event. Ospreay once again proved why he’s among the world’s best, countering Tama’s power with his aerial mastery and securing the win with the Hidden Blade.

Location:

Takamatsu City General Gymnasium, located in Kagawa Prefecture, provided a strong and supportive crowd. The venue is a favorite for NJPW’s G1 tour stops and brought excellent atmosphere throughout the event.
