Match Reviews:

  1. Adam Copeland vs. Malakai Black – TNT Title Match
A highly anticipated main event that blended intensity with storytelling. Malakai’s dark tactics and Copeland’s veteran resilience made it a gripping battle. After multiple near-falls, Copeland retained the title with a surprise spear out of nowhere.
  2. FTR vs. The WorkHorsemen
Classic tag team action with great chemistry. FTR controlled the ring with smart double-team work, while The WorkHorsemen had brief moments of momentum. A Shatter Machine ended the match in FTR’s favor.
  3. Thunder Rosa vs. Skye Blue
A solid back-and-forth women’s match. Skye showed heart, but Rosa’s aggressive style proved too much. Rosa earned the win with a clean Thunder Driver.
  4. House of Black vs. Action Andretti & Top Flight – Trios Match
Fast-paced and chaotic action. The high-flyers were exciting but couldn’t overcome the brutality and precision of House of Black. Brody King ended it with a crushing lariat on Andretti.
  5. Miro vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
Two powerhouses collided in a hard-hitting slugfest. Miro survived some big slams and locked in the Game Over submission to score a dominant win.
  6. HOOK vs. Brian Cage – FTW Rules Match
A wild brawl under FTW rules (no DQ). Steel chairs, tables, and stiff strikes. HOOK showed toughness, countering Cage’s power and submitting him with Redrum to a loud pop.
  7. Orange Cassidy vs. Kyle O’Reilly – Opening Match
A strong technical opener. Cassidy mixed comedy with clever reversals, while Kyle targeted the arm. Cassidy pulled out the win with a roll-up after escaping an armbar.

Conclusion:

AEW Collision’s Thursday Special on July 31, 2025 delivered a hard-hitting and story-driven episode. From Copeland’s gritty title defense to the trios chaos and FTW brutality, this show had something for every AEW fan. The special weekday slot didn’t affect the energy, as the Minneapolis crowd stayed loud throughout the night.
